• Welcome to the November edition of our newsletter.

    There have been lots of exciting things happening at Preschool over the last few weeks. We have revamped our Facebook page with all the latest news and have had lots of very positive reviews and comments. Thank you to everyone who has posted a review so far. Keep up to date with what activities your children are joining in with and other news items.
    The room displays of children’s work have all been changing showing some leaf art. colour changing activities and birthday celebrations.

    We also have a new Twitter feed which can update you with current items of news.
    We will use Twitter and Facebook if there is any bad weather or difficulties with getting to preschool during the winter months, so make sure you follow our links.

    Welcome to our new children this month, Corey, Amber, Aiden, Shrenna, Kai and Esmae. We hope you all have a great time at Mount Preschool.

    Tuesday Morning Toddler session
    Mount Preschool Toddlers is up and running every Tuesday morning between 9:00 am until 11:00 am. The cost is just £2 per family and includes a hot drink for the parent and a drink and snack of fruit for the children. Please tell your friends to come along too as all are welcome.
    Dates for your diary!
    Saturday November 18th 2pm until 4pm – Christmas Fair in the Church Hall.
    There will be cakes, refreshments, raffle, games, gifts, and lots of Christmas fun.
    Come along with all the family.
    Entrance is free

    Tuesday 21st November from 3pm – Tempest Photography session
    Book a time slot or see Kay if your child is in and you would like their photo taken. Other family members can be included too! Portrait photos will make great presents for Christmas. Time slots are filling up fast but speak to Kay if you would like to be fitted in.
    Parents evening/Open days
    Our staff are preparing your children’s progress reports and invite you in to discuss their development during the week commencing 13th November. It is an opportunity to speak directly to your child’s Key Worker and find out about their progress at Preschool. If you would prefer to have the discussion when you drop your child off or when you collect them, please allow at least 10 minutes and arrange day/time directly with your Key Worker. If you can only attend later during the day, or do not get an opportunity to speak to your Key Worker, please speak to Kay to arrange.
    Free Gift for You and a Friend if they sign up their child for preschool.
    If you introduce a friend to Mount Preschool and their child starts attending, both children will receive a FREE uniform pack of a polo shirt, sweat shirt and preschool hat.

    Funded term dates for parents
    Mount Preschool follow Kirklees council dates for funded terms to coincide with local schools. The academic year (September to July) is 38 weeks or 190 days long. Mount Preschool funded term dates are listed below to show which 190 days are funded for 2017/18

    Nb. If Mount Preschool needs to close for any local or general elections, the date will be advised in advance and a funded day will be added to July.
